Andrea Foster is a Registered Psychotherapist who uses integrative, evidence-based approaches to therapy. Her calm and focused style helps her clients feel safe and cared for as she collaborates with them in healing their unresolved traumas and relationship challenges.
Trauma Therapy
Andrea has 14-years of trauma experience derived from her previous career as a paramedic which brings a unique wisdom to therapy sessions with her clients. She works with individuals impacted by sudden loss, those looking to process traumatic grief, and she also works with first responders.
Healing the impact of trauma requires that therapists work with the brain and the nervous system. As such, Andrea incorporates cognitive modalities like cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and narrative therapy. She also implements nervous system modalities like somatic therapy reinforced by polyvagal theory. Working with the brain and nervous system forms a holistic approach to healing while also ensuring that the client understands the psychoeducation behind the treatment so they can maintain healing outside of sessions.
Couples Therapy
As a Gottman-trained couple’s therapist, Andrea also recognizes that trauma and sudden loss can affect one’s ability to relate to their intimate partners in meaningful ways. She uses a Gottman-informed approach to assist couples in understanding each other’s relational needs, to address conflicts productively, to improve intimacy and affection, and to cultivate a deeper sense of empathy and respect.
On a personal level, Andrea enjoys spending time skiing, hiking, weightlifting, and snowshoeing with her family. Andrea spends many hours in her garden growing various flowers and vegetables in the summer months.
Andrea is available for virtual sessions and is currently accepting new clients. She can be reached at andrea@healpsychotherapy.ca.

Lucie Ritchie Bio
Lucie Ritchie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and the founder of Heal Psychotherapy. Lucie specializes in trauma, couples’ therapy, and life coaching. In all her therapeutic relationships, she takes a holistic, non-judgemental approach with her clients.
Trauma
Lucie focuses her work with survivors who have experienced identity loss, inauthentic personas, and childhood traumas, to name a few. She aims to heal the brain and the body (nervous system) to renegotiate the impacts of past adversity that could be causing symptoms of PTSD or C-PTSD, including anxiety and depression, in the present. She works with individuals who struggle with authentic self-expression which is often due to prolonged childhood maltreatment.
Therapeutic Approaches
Lucie brings a genuine, caring approach to exploring lifelong patterns through a holistic approach. She combines Schema Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and the Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM) to target all parts of the client. These modalities assist in the exploration of cognitive, emotional, and physiological processes that could be keeping clients stuck in behavioural patterns of the past. These modalities also assist in rebalancing the nervous system to heal the impacts of adversity at the roots.
Lucie operates from an attachment lens and assesses for unconscious patterns to hone-in on the possible areas of concerns.
