Your therapist will help you navigate challenging cognitions (deep-rooted negative beliefs and automatic thoughts), emotional pains, and behavioural concerns. This is often referred to as a person's "learned patterns." Sometime what we were exposed to for years (example in childhood) leaves an imprint in the brain known as a schema that was adaptive (helpful) at one point but has become maladaptive (unhelpful) at a later point in life. Working through our schemas and patterns are important for learning about which part of us is authentic vs what parts of us are inauthentic.

Coaching

We follow the Co-Active Coaching Process. Neurofeedback

Through EEG technology, we can see how your brainwaves "fire and wire." Your brain will learn how to get out of "brainwave ruts" and into its own optimal processes, naturally. This is Neurofeedback. It can be thought of as neuroplasticity in real-time. We also offer Lens Neurofeedback which uses a tiny electromagnetic pulse to lift "suppressions."

Meet Amela Abdovic — a Trauma-Informed LENS Neurofeedback Technician who doesn’t just believe in the power of neurofeedback — she’s living proof of it.

Years ago, Amela was battling the invisible weight of war trauma, generational pain, and the chronic stress of a high-level corporate career. Talk therapy helped, but it wasn’t until she discovered neurofeedback that things truly began to shift. LENS Neurofeedback is what helped her nervous system finally settle, her mind find clarity, and her body feel safe again. It was the missing piece — the key that unlocked lasting healing.

So, she made a life-changing decision: to leave the corporate world and dedicate her life to helping others find the same kind of breakthrough.

Today, Amela brings both personal wisdom and professional training to her work at Heal Psychotherapy. She blends neuroscience with heart, offering neurofeedback sessions that go beyond symptom relief. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, burnout, or just feeling stuck, Amela helps your brain reset and your true self reemerge.

Working with Amela means working with someone who truly gets it. She’s been where you are — and she knows the way forward. Her sessions are calm, grounding, and quietly powerful. Most of all, they’re personalized to meet you exactly where you are.

Because healing isn’t just possible — it’s your birthright. And Amela is here to walk with you, one session at a time, toward the vibrant, regulated, authentic life you deserve.
